Maserati Comes To Villa La Massa Excellence 2026

Held by Canossa, part of duPont REGISTRY Group’s extensive portfolio of luxury automotive events and services, Villa La Massa Excellence combines the natural beauty and rich history of Italy with the country’s longstanding heritage of automotive excellence. This year, the event is set to take place from October 16 to October 18, and it will feature the presence of one of Italy’s most historic and cherished manufacturers: Maserati. Celebrating the 100th anniversary of both its Trident emblem and its presence in motorsport, Maserati’s presence at the prestigious concours event outside Florence will feature two of the brand’s most iconic supercars, from the present and from recent memory. Set against a stunning estate setting looking over the Arno River, Maserati’s legendary MC12 and the GT2 Stradale supercar will both be at this year’s Villa La Massa Excellence. The Maserati MC12, introduced in the early 2000s, represented a new chapter of Maserati performance and motorsport excellence in its time. With years of racing victories and global icon status, the GT2 Stradale is the road-going variant of its racing successor, Maserati’s GT2, which is building its own reputation in the racing world in the 2020s. <- Gallery -> The specific Maserati GT2 Stradale supercar that will be at the 2026 Villa La Massa Excellence is a product of Maserati’s Fuoriserie program, with a bespoke configuration created specifically for a collector. Its livery features a stunning metallic Blu Victory color, celebrating the MC12’s victories in the GT1 championship. The matte carbon fiber roof features Bianco Pastello Trident, and the same color adorns the rear wing with a Maserati wordmark. Inside, blue Alcantara upholstery, Tridents embroidered in black, and black Alcantara accents with blue stitching add to the bespoke configuration. With 640 horsepower coming from its twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 engine, the Maserati GT2 Stradale is capable of an impressive 0-60 time of under 2.8 seconds and a top speed of over 198 mph. With lightweight construction, track-focused dynamics, and motorsport-derived engineering solutions, the GT2 Stradale is Maserati’s most performance-focused production model yet. Showcasing decades of supercar legacy in celebration of the 100th anniversary of its Trident and racing legacy, Maserati is bringing its own Italian automotive excellence to this year’s Villa La Massa Excellence. Maserati GT2 Wins In GT America Racing Debut

Maserati has triumphantly returned to the racing world with its GT2 supercar, which brings the historic Italian brand back to the circuit as it celebrates the centenary of not only its involvement in motorsport, but also its Trident emblem, in 2026. This past weekend, Maserati debuted in the GT America Powered by AWS series, racing at the legendary Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and achieved two victories by the racing weekend’s end. The Maserati GT2 supercar was fielded by Risi Competizione and driven by Peter Dempsey. Wearing the number 100 for the double centenary, the car won both 40-minute races on Saturday, October 10, and Sunday, October 11. Using the car’s available GT2+ kit, the Maserati GT2 adheres to SRO3 class standards, racing alongside GT3 cars. Maserati’s return to the historic track continues a legacy that began in some of the earliest days of the manufacturer’s history. With Indy 500 victories in 1939 and 1940, won by Wilbur Shaw in a Maserati 8CTF, Maserati remains the only Italian manufacturer to have won the race. Race 1 saw the Maserati GT2 starting from the back, managing to take the lead with less than three minutes remaining, holding on to it by less than a third of a second. <- Gallery -> The GT2 supercar started the second race from pole position, with Dempsey leading the race from start to finish, setting the fastest lap in both the first and second races. Alongside GT America, the Maserati GT2 supercar races in over 20 racing series, which take place across five continents. With the GT2+ kit, developed in collaboration with SRO and designed to increase downforce, revise the engine, and adapt the dampers and brakes, the GT2 is working to expand its reach in the motorsport world. GT2 customers can either order the car with the kit or purchase it as a conversion for an existing car. About the double victory in Indianapolis, Maserati Corse Head Vincent Biard commented, “To win both races on our GT America debut at Indianapolis is a proud moment for everyone at Maserati. Peter and our partner Risi Competizione delivered an exceptional performance, and these results demonstrate the potential of our Maserati GT2. Returning to this circuit as we celebrate 100 years of both the Trident logo and Maserati’s racing debut makes this achievement especially meaningful. We want to give our customers more opportunities to race with Maserati, and this weekend is a critical step in that direction.” With two impressive victories at one of the most historically significant racing venues in the world, Maserati is celebrating the hundredth anniversary of its presence in motorsport and its Trident with a reaffirmation of its racing excellence. As the GT2 continues to earn accolades in the racing world, Maserati and its racing presence look forward to a bright future after a storied past. View All Maserati For Sale Image Source: Maserati

Maserati Classiche Certifies The First 5000 GT Frua

Maserati boasts a century of history, with some of the most iconic Italian luxury performance models to its name. To preserve and celebrate that history, the brand inaugurated Maserati Classiche, a division of BOTTEGAFUORISERIE that is dedicated to preserving archives, restoring classics, and certifying historic masterpieces. The latest Maserati to receive a Maserati Classiche Certificate of Authenticity marks an important milestone for Maserati Classiche, as it isn’t only the first Maserati 5000 GT to receive the certification, but it’s the very first Maserati 500 GT Frua ever made. Only 34 examples of the Maserati 5000 GT Frua were produced between 1959 and 1964, and the ultra-exclusive vehicle features a gorgeous silhouette and Maserati’s signature combination of style, luxury, performance, and grand touring driving pleasure. The story of the 5000 GT begins after the Shah of Persia, who drove a Maserati 3500 GT, expressed a desire for an even more refined and prestigious car. The 5000 GT featured a 5.0-liter V8 engine, derived from Maserati’s 450S race car, with carburetors and over 350 horsepower of maximum output. The first design of the model was done by Carrozzeria Touring, with only three examples produced in that style. After that, Allemano, Pininfarina, Monterosa, Ghia, and Frua also created interpretations of the 5000 GT, and the exclusivity and price of the car resulted in the scant production number of 34 total examples. <- Gallery -> The three Frua examples of the Maserati 5000 GT were made in 1962, and the first, chassis *103*064*, stands 64 years later as a gorgeous example of Maserati history, receiving the Maserati Classiche Certification of Authenticity. It features the iconic “Luci di Mezzanotte” livery, alongside a “Camoscio” interior. Frua’s body for the 5000 GT featured large glass surfaces, a sleek, athletic silhouette, and a muscular shoulder line. The example that just received a Maserati Classiche certification was sold in Rome, after which it was returned to the company in 1966 and repainted in “Rosso Rubino Chiaro.” Saudi Prince Magid Ben Saoud purchased the car for King Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the car disappeared in 1967, remaining in storage in Cairo after the Six-Day War. It was rediscovered in 2000 and purchased by a collector in Texas, after which it was restored in Italy in time for the 2004 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este. Crossing continents and carrying a captivating story of its own, the first-ever Maserati 5000 GT Frua is not only an ultra-exclusive classic, but a vehicle with decades of provenance and the latest to earn a Maserati Classiche Certification of Authenticity.  View All Maserati For Sale Image Source: Maserati

Maserati Debuts New Liveries At Tutto Bene Hillclimb

Maserati is one of the most storied and celebrated names in the Italian automotive industry, with a century of history that is especially steeped in the world of motorsport. One of Maserati’s most iconic motorsport heroes is the 1958 Maserati Eldorado, the first European single-seater race car to have been sponsored by a brand outside the automotive industry; in its case, Eldorado ice cream. At the third edition of the Tutto Bene Hillclimb, taking place on Italy’s idyllic Lake Maggiore and celebrating automotive culture and the beauty of the region, Maserati is showcasing a new historic livery that pays homage to the Eldorado. The livery is featured on Maserati’s GT2 racing supercar and the GT2 Stradale, its street-legal yet track-focused counterpart. The historic livery was brought to the pair of Maserati supercars as part of the brand’s year-long celebrations of the centenary of both its Trident and its involvement in the world of motorsport. On the GT2 Stradale, the livery includes a black hood with the original Tipo 26 badge, carbon fiber details, black wheels, the number 10 that was sported by Sir Stirling Moss, the iconic Eldorado logo, an Italian tricolor detail, and a white body color. The Maserati GT2 features the same livery, and both cars will be displayed at the event, alongside the original 1958 Eldorado car, which has been restored and is part of the Collezione Maserati Umberto Panini in Modena. <- Gallery -> Also at the Tutto Bene hillclimb event is the Maserati MC20 Cielo, Maserati’s modern open-top supercar, which will take on the over 5-mile route, ascending the private Borromea road with engaging curves going from the foothills to the top of the Mottarone mountain. Placing a focus on driving engagement and joy, the Tutto Bene hillclimb is not timed, making the open-top Maserati MC20 Cielo the perfect car for the job with its highly spirited driving character and pleasurable V6 sound. About the new, historically inspired livery, Davide Baldini, Head of Maserati Fuoriserie, said, “With these new commemorative liveries, we pay homage to an important chapter in our history, reinterpreting it through the contemporary language of Maserati Fuoriserie. The Eldorado single-seater was a milestone in motorsports, and today its spirit lives on in the GT2 and GT2 Stradale, bringing together heritage and innovation, track and road. It is precisely this passion for racing that has inspired our creations for 100 years and set us apart on the international automotive stage.” Bridging the gap between Maserati’s rich history and its luxury, high-performance present, the new historic livery for the GT2 and GT2 Stradale makes for a stunning pair of supercars that nod to a ‘50s racing icon.  View All Maserati For Sale Image Source: Maserati

Maserati’s Latest GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Grecale Put Everyday Luxury First

Maserati has a simple message for anyone saving their best possessions for a special occasion: stop waiting. That idea sits at the center of "Luxury, every day," a new campaign built around the recently updated GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Grecale. Produced by creative agency Migrante with music by Flavio Ibba, "Luxury, every day" makes a straightforward argument. Luxury should not be something you save for the right moment. Sometimes, the experience itself is what makes the moment special. The film builds that idea through four objects normally associated with special occasions. A tailored suit remains protected in its garment bag, jewelry stays inside its presentation box, an intricate watch waits on its owner's wrist, and a bottle of Tignanello, the Antinori super-Tuscan that broke Chianti's rules in 1971, sits unopened. The film subsequently shows the marque’s three latest models in motion, shifting the focus from possessing luxury to actually experiencing it. "Driving a Maserati stands as a moment of everyday beauty, to be experienced every day." - Cristiano Fiorio, Maserati Chief Marketing Officer It is a fitting message for a lineup Maserati has spent much of 2026 bringing back into focus. The company revealed updates for the 2027 GranTurismo, GranCabrio and Grecale earlier this summer. Visually, Maserati Centro Stile first applied the sharper front fascia on the MCXtrema track car, brought it to the road with the GT2 Stradale, refined it on the MCPURA supercar, and has now been adopted across the core range.  Inside, the same attention to detail brings a more refined sense of elegance, with craftsmanship expressed through authentic materials including leather, Alcantara, wood, carbon fiber, and metal. Powertrains range from the 590-CV (582-hp) twin-turbo Nettuno V6 in the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo to a 390-CV (385-hp) Nettuno-powered Grecale, alongside the all-electric Folgore variants. <- Gallery -> The refreshed cars then made a public appearance at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed before duPont REGISTRY had the opportunity to experience the new range on the road during Maserati’s international media drive in Trieste. That Italian setting returns in the campaign itself, with closing scenes taking place in Piazza Unità d’Italia, tying the film back to Maserati’s broader “Italian Gran Turismo: Effortless Luxury Performance” identity. Maserati Reveals New GT2 Stradale “Tribute to MC12”

The Maserati GT2 Stradale is part of an incredible cohort of new supercars from Maserati. Starting with the MC20, Maserati has spent the past few years bringing exciting new life into its historic brand, reviving its presence in motorsport and bringing forth new Italian performance icons. Coming after the MC20 and alongside the MCPura and MCXtrema, the GT2 Stradale bridges the gap between the roadgoing MCPura and the Maserati GT2 racing supercar. Street-legal and comfortable, but with racing-derived engineering solutions, the GT2 Stradale is one of the most exclusive Maseratis in the brand’s lineup, with only 914 examples of the supercar allotted. However, one of the latest examples of the GT2 Stradale is especially unique, with its owner commissioning it through Maserati’s Fuoriserie program to sport a special livery. Named the “Tribute to MC12” the bespoke livery of this GT2 Stradale, made for a Taiwanese collector, pays homage to the legendary MC12, Maserati’s V12-powered supercar that forged a cherished motorsport legacy in the 2000s. The livery specifically echoes that of the Vitaphone Racing Team, whose Maserati MC12 GT1 achieved an incredible run of success at the 24 Hours of Spa in the 2000s. <- Gallery -> The livery was previously seen on the limited-production Maserati MC20 “Leggenda” from 2024, and the new GT2 Stradale features the same Matte Digital Mint and Nero Essenza bodywork, with gloss yellow accents. Inside, the racing seats of the GT2 Stradale are upholstered with black Alcantara, with yellow embroidered Tridents, as well as yellow contrast stitching. About the new bespoke supercar, Davide Baldini, Head of Maserati Fuoriserie, said, “The GT2 Stradale ‘Tribute to MC12’ demonstrates just how far the Maserati Fuoriserie program can go in terms of customization, creating unparalleled automobiles that reflect each customer’s personality, desires, and style… A Maserati Fuoriserie is more than just an automobile: it is the transformation of a personal vision into a one-of-a-kind creation destined to become part of the Trident's history.” The delivery took place alongside the current year-long celebration of the 100th anniversary of Maserati’s iconic Trident emblem, as well as the brand’s presence in the world of motorsport, making the event a truly special occasion. As such, the handover at Maserati’s Modena, Italy, headquarters came with fanfare, including a private tour of the brand’s iconic plant and a journey through Italy’s iconic Motor Valley region, highlighting the Umberto Panini Collection, housing some of the most important Maseratis in the manufacturer’s history. With an iconic livery that pays homage to a racing icon, the latest bespoke Maserati GT2 Stradale is a stunning example of Fuoriserie excellence. View All Maserati For Sale Image Source: Maserati

Maserati Celebrates Grand Finale Of China-Italy Grand Tour

Maserati is one of the most historic and celebrated names in the automotive industry, and it certainly is one of the most foundational names in the Italian automotive landscape. Calling the city of Modena home, Maserati is currently celebrating the 100th anniversary of its legendary Trident emblem in 2026. Part of those celebrations was a grand tour that has just been completed with a homecoming in Modena, Italy, Maserati’s spiritual home, bringing a convoy of cars including the GranTurismo, GranCabrio, and Grecale across the historic route of the Silk Road. Ancient trading routes from Asia to Europe shaped much of history and culture, and the influence of the Silk Road can still be seen in our world today. Maserati’s 2026 China-Italy Grand Tour started in Shanghai, traversing through incredibly diverse cultural backdrops and geographic marvels over its 9,000-mile route, showcasing both the ancient purpose of the Silk Road and its relevance centuries later. The tour set off on May 4, immediately encountering sights like the Qinling Mountains and Sayram Lake. After that, the nomadic lands of the Fergana Valley in Kyrgyzstan and other stunning sights in Central Asia like Tashkent, Samarkand, and Bukhara complemented the presence of Maserati’s Italian luxury tourers. <- Gallery -> Crossing the Caspian Sea, the tour made landfall in Baku, then traveled through Tbilisi and along the coast of the Black Sea before entering Turkey. The tour made its way through Istanbul and across the Bosphorus Strait, entering Europe and traveling through Sofia and Sarajevo. After that, the tour basked in the historic scenery of Dubrovnik, Croatia, before driving through Slovenia and then the Dolomites, concluding the journey in the Emilia plains and entering Modena. Throughout the tour, Maserati’s lineup showcased luxury, performance, style, and engaging driving character alike. The convoy included the GranTurismo Trofeo, combining the power of the Nettuno 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with captivating style and touring luxury, the open-top GranCabrio that combines roof-down thrill with structural rigidity and the comfort of its “Air Scarf" neck-warming system, and the Grecale, which combines SUV practicality with Maserati’s luxury and style. Starting at the beginning of the ancient Silk Road, and making a symbolic homecoming to Modena, Italy, the 2026 Maserati China-Italy Grand Tour was a celebration of a century of heritage and an even longer history of cultural exchange and innovation. Maserati Previews Project GT4 At Goodwood

Maserati is celebrating a century of its presence in the world of motorsport, as well as the centenary of its legendary Trident emblem this year. What began in 1926 has become a cherished legacy of Italian luxury performance cars, as well as racing icons that have written chapters of motorsport history. This decade, however, has marked an exciting resurgence in Maserati’s motorsport efforts, with the MC20 supercar becoming the basis for Maserati’s GT2 racer, along with the street-legal GT2 Stradale, and the customer track-only MCXtrema. However, another new day is dawning for Maserati’s racing legacy, and it comes from the latest generation of the GranTurismo, Maserati’s gorgeous touring coupe. It’s called Project GT4, a GranTurismo-based GT racer aimed at taking on one of the most dynamic racing categories. Its goal: to sit alongside the Maserati GT2 and use the experience Maserati Corse gained with the supercar to get back on the track in 2028. About Project GT4, Maserati Corse’s head, Vincent Biard, said, “Project GT4 represents a natural step in the evolution of the Maserati Corse program and completes our vision for the future of GT racing. On the back of the experience gained with the Maserati GT2, this project was created with the aim of bringing all the technical, sporting and operational know-how developed in recent years to the GT4 category, while maintaining a strong bond with the New GranTurismo on which it is based.” <- Gallery -> Taking full advantage of the style and engineering seen in the production Maserati GranTurismo, Project GT4’s powertrain and body are derived directly from the road car. Modified from it are aerodynamic components, a revised interior, a rear-wheel drive architecture, and other tweaks. The car’s suspension comes from the Maserati GranTurismo Trofeo, and the car’s dedicated racing components include a front splitter, front dive planes, a special hood, a dedicated braking system, a roll cage, 18-inch wheels, and more. Previewed at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, Maserati’s new Project GT4 features a special livery at the event, with a large Trident spanning the length of the car, and 100 smaller blue Tridents throughout, a reference to the 100th anniversary of the Trident emblem. Meanwhile, a white front fascia is a reference to classic Maserati racers, and touches of blue and yellow serve as an ode to Maserati’s home city of Modena, Italy. With Project GT4, Maserati not only plans to expand its racing presence and bolster the GT2, but also to continue a legacy that was previously carried by the Maserati Trofeo Light GT4, which was based on the Maserati GranSport. The preview of the new Project GT4 at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed is the beginning of a new era of Maserati racing that is poised to fully take shape in 2028.
